 Children
are curious about the world. They ask questions and seek answers so that
they can understand how things work. At RBCS we believe that science is
a way of looking at the world and seeking explanations so that we can understand
how it operates. Students are actively engaged through inquiry-based, hands-on,
minds-on activities. This allows our children to achieve different degrees
of understanding and learn science in diverse ways, depending on their interests
and strengths. It is also a way of solving problems and using the solutions
to explain why things happen as they do. Our science program integrates
the use of multi-media CD-Roms and covers units in Life, Physical, and Earth
Science. Some of these units include: • Diversity and Adaptations
• Population and Ecosystems
• Properties, Structure, and Changes of Matter
• Forces and Motion
• Earth in the Solar System
• Earth-The Water Planet

We chose Red Bank Charter School
because we liked the progressive “outside the box” approach
to education and the small size. We love it for the sense of community/family it’s given us as well as the values it teaches.

many people here and so we knew about all the great things that went on.
We were heartbroken when we didn’t get picked in the lottery but
as soon as a spot became available we were in. We are here to stay!!!

Classes are smaller – students get more one on one – they
truly care about the students. Will do almost anything for them to improve
– socially and academically.
