Charter Champions
Charter Champions is a monthly celebration where students from each grade are recognized for individualized achievement in academics or overall improvement. It is closely tied to the Character Education Program. During the school year, children focus on ten character education values with one value assigned to each month of the school year. The following is a list of the values:
-
September: Cooperation
-
October: Persistence, Diligence, and Perseverance
-
November: Citizenship and Service
-
December: Tolerance and Fairness
-
January: Humor
-
February: Courage
-
March: Friendship
-
April: Honesty
-
May: Empathy and Caring
-
June: Self-Discipline
Student selection for the monthly Charter Champion celebration is based on those students who exhibit that specific character trait as well as their overall improvement.
